What I
thought was interesting was Jerry Hunter post about kids sitting on the floor
at school. A school in Africa serves
3,000 kids and all of them have to sit on dirt floors in discomfort. A group called UNICEF gave this school 100
desks and benches this furnished the whole school (all eight classrooms). This
group is eventually going to deliver about 46,000 desks around that country!
The kids are now excited to go to school! This program has not only helped kids
who need to sit, but created jobs for family’s who don’t even have enough money
to put food on their table! This group of people who decided to help out kids
at school have made a huge change in economy! Do agree that this is right?

Who wouldn't agree with this, this is for a great cause. It helps the kids and the families. The kids by giving them benches and desks and to the families by putting money in their packets and food on the table. I read this also, "The Chimwala delivery was just the first in a series of desk deliveries that will ultimately provide 172 schools in the 4 districts of Dedza, Kasungu, Blantyre Rural and Lilongwe Rural with school desks," on http://www.unicefusa.org/news/news-from-the-field/kids-in-need-of-desks-malawi.html
