Nets can save a life.
Malaria is one of the most deadly sicknesses in Africa. As Brett said in his post an African child dies every thirty seconds because of this awful sickness. That is a really sad statistic and I think we can do something to change that. Over 7,000,000 nets have been sent to Africa. Although, that sounds like a lot it's nothing compared to how many people live in Africa. Over 1 billion people live in Africa, it is the second largest and it is the second most populated country in the world. However, 7,000,000 is pretty good start. I think we need to raise more awareness about the topic so we can save the lives of many children in Africa. In America we don't have any major problems so I don't think people understand how much of a problem it really is. What do you think should be done?

I think that there should be more fundraisers for this harmful sickness. You always hear about fundraisers for schools, cancer, or animal shelters, but fundraisers for Malaria are very rare. Nothing but Nets is one of the very few organization that raises money and awareness for disease. An estimated 600,000 people die each year from Malaria, and the majority of those who die are under the age of five. Malaria is very deadly disease as is , but when it is mixed with HIV/AIDS is becomes even more serious, in turn effecting more pregnant women and little children.
