I recently read Edna's post on the sleeping sickness in Africa. Although the Trypanosomiasis disease is deadly, it is only found in 36 sub-Saharan African Countries. I think it's very scary that you can get so sick, and(sometimes) die, just because of a little fly. I mean think about it: In the first place, there are tiny, microscopic little viruses inside a little fly, AND they are capable of killing. The sickness is carried in the very small Tsetse fly. This fly varies in size from only 8-17 mm long. The scary part is that the fossils of the Tsetse fly were found in Colorado, US! However, scientist haven't found any other signs of them. Do you think scientists will find any vaccines for the Trypanosomiasis disease?
