One Can Really Make Difference!
Have you ever heard of the Black Rhino? I wouldn't be surprised if you have. The Black Rhino is among many of the animals that are endangered Africa and is very close to excitation. You would think that people would take this into consideration before auctioning them off to be hunting, but no in this case. Earlier this week the Dallas Safari Club auctioned off hunting this rare creature and it sold for $350,000! The Dallas Safari Club said that with the money they got from this auction they could save many more of the Black Rhinos in Africa. I get where they are coming from, but I believe that they could have come up with a much better way to raise the money that would not involve killing the animal they're trying to save? Do you think that Dallas Safari Club should have thought of a better way to get the money? If so, what would it be?

Even though i do think killing Black Rhino is completely wrong the horn has medicinal purpose to it. It's crazy how expensive just a kilogram of this material can cost up to 70,000 dollars! It’s literally more expensive then gold! I think they should try to find a better way to make the medicine then using this animal’s horn. I think they should look for a better way of getting money because they’re only around 2,000 of these creatures in the wild.
ReplyDeleteI think this is crazy! There is no reason to do this, especially just for money! I agree that they should've came up with a better way to raise money then to kill a rhino that is endangered!! They should reach out to the world to try and raise money to save the rest of the endangered black rhinos.
ReplyDeleteThere is ZERO medicinal value in the horns. The problem is that people think there might be, and so they will pay any price for this rare substance. And thus the rhino pays the ultimate price.
