The Lion? Extinct? What?!

The king of the wild going extinct? Yea, it's a pretty big problem. There were once many protected areas where lions roamed about, but today, there are only 400 left in West Africa and only about 250 of those lions can breed. The lions are very unique and are very important to the people of West Africa. Hunters and plantations are contributing to the extinction of lions, and they need to be stopped. Unfortunately, there is little the people and government can do since they don't have the money. What do you think they should do?

  2. I think that in answer to this problem is that they should do what they did with the African Black Rhino (have rich game masters pay to kill a couple of infertile Lions) although it may sound very wrong and insane at first it makes sense in the end game if a few Rhinos who cannot breed were killed for a very high price. Then it could save the species (with money raised they could put in protective measures) as opposed to what is happening now, they will sooner or the lion population will be poached or die out. If a large amount of money was raised to kill a small amount of old infertile lions that in could save there race! What do you think do think it could save there race or just kill it faster?

  4. I feel like the government should make the killing of lions and/or endangered animals illegal because their population is getting smaller and smaller by the year. I think its kind of sad that lions are endangered because they are, you know... ENDANGERED! Its wrong and I think the government should do something about it. Do you think they should have a severe punishment for those who kill/harm endangered animals (like lions)?
