West Africa Needs More Lions!
Panthera and the rest of the world are stunned when research shows that there are only about 400 lions left in the area. Panthera, a non-profit organization that did the research, is calling for West-African lions to be listed as "critically endangered", and may help with conservation efforts. This map shows where confirmed lions, possible lions, and no lion sightings in the 17 countries researched. Phillip Henschel, one of the authors of the research, says that he along with the rest of the organization are stunned. What do you think about this situatuion? I think it's awful, and that we need to do something about it.
