King of the wild going extinct?

In west Africa surprisingly the beloved king of the wild is going extinct. Although lions are the king of the wild they are disappearing fast in west Africa. There are less than 250 mature lions in west Africa today. About nine years ago there were about 21 nonprofitable protected areas with lions roaming around and today there are only four. That's a big drop to go from 21 to four. It's about 17 areas that the lions have died out of. The greatly ignored lions are now living in in only 1.1% of the land that they used to live. What do you think we should do about the lions going extinct?

    Are you kidding!? Please tell me you’re kidding! The King of the Jungle, my favorite animal, is becoming EXTICNT!? How can people hunt animals that are awesome? What has those lions ever done to you? The lion, I know isn’t a harmless animal, but unless it did something to you or your family that was fatal, you should NOT HUNT IT DOWN!!!

    This really sucks lions are beautiful creatures and shouldn't be harmed. Why would people even want to kill these animals? If some people just do this for game then they should feel really guilty on how they treated these animals and now they may not even exist in a few years.
