The legend of how Rome was built is that twin brothers, Romulus and Remus, the sons of Mars, the Roman gods of war. A king thought that they would one day overrun him, so he ordered them to be drowned. A wolf found them and then a shepherd raised them as his own. The two grew up, killed, the king, and built their own city where seven hills rise above the Tiber River. The city of Rome was built.

I think your post is interesting, Travis. Did you find how Roam was built to be the most interesting part of Ancient civilization history? It is kind of ironic that the king who ordered the two brothers, Romulus and Remus to be killed was later killed by these two brothers. Maybe that's where the say "What comes around, goes around"...or was that about the boomerang??
ReplyDeleteWow! I never knew that the Rome was built by Romulus and Remus. Rome was a big part of the history. Punic Wars was one of the main wars. Punic Wars was the conflict of interests between the existing Carthaginian Empire and the expanding Roman Republic. By the end of the third war, which took more than hundred years, both side lost hundreds of soldiers. But by the end Rome won the war and became a strong state.
