The Talk of The Mummies: Hieroglyophics
To a person that doesn't go to school, they would probably think that the little pictures in ancient Egyptian tombs are doodles drawn by mischievous little kids. To a person that did go to school, they would see that it is a wall that has one of the oldest writing systems in the world hieroglyphics. It was used around 3100 BCE to 400 CE which was the time when pharaohs still ruled vast communities, and buried in great pyramids. Egyptian hieroglyphics was a way of writing that consisted of symbols, and pictures. Don't you think that it is pretty genius that people that lived as far back as ancient Egypt were able to make writing out of pictures?

I think it was interesting that Egyptians had a form of writing. I am however disappointed at the lack of sophistication of their writing. Just look at the Phoenicians, they developed the alphabet around 2700 BC. Only 400 years and writing was formed, it may seem long but in the vastness of time, it is infinitesimal. But, the Egyptians do have one of the most ancient languages known in currently. Their sophistication was advanced for their time.
