Everyone Loves The Greeks And Some May Not Know

     Everyone likes the Greeks and some people don't even know that they do.  If you like the Olympics, you like the Greeks and here is why.  The Greeks started the Olympics in 776 B.C.  The competitions took place to honor the Greek Gods.  For the first thirteen Olympic games, there was one sport and that was the sprint.  Next, the pentathlon was added along with it's events including discus, javelin, jumping, running, and wrestling.  I have a couple of questions.  Do you wish that you were in the Olympics?   If you were in the Olympics, what sport would you want to compete in?  Did you know that the Greeks started the Olympics or not?

    Wow! The greeks olympics sound really interesting I have always had an interest for ancient greece. And I would think it would be really interesting to be in the greek olympics but the part that would be quite interesting is that your not aloud to have any women there so if you Married your wife wouldn't be able to watch you. And that men were unclothed. Yes I did know that they started the olympics.

    The greeks were amazing but i didnt think they started the olympics. I like watching the olympics each time it is hosted but i didnt expect it to be a tradition from the time of ancient greece. The greeks are awsome they were very civilised for living on a mountainis peninsula. I would like to learn more about the greek olympic games.
