I cant believe that The city of Rome was the largest megalopolis of that time. With a population that may well have exceeded one million people, with a high end estimate of 3.6 million. I think it is awesome that Rome existed  so earlier in the world. It is cool that in Italy/Rome had an estimated rate of urbanization of 32%, the same rate of urbanization of England in 1800.

  1. That’s a lot of people speaking ancient Rome was only 496 square miles which is around 9677 people a square mile! This seems very crowded to me. That’s very big for population growth; almost one third is crazy to think about. When was accident Rome Established?
