Soreness Everywhere!
Have you ever sat down on the floor for a while listening to an announcement at school or for anything? Even if it was carpet, after a while didn't you bum bum start hurting? Well in Africa, almost every single school don't have any chairs, desks, and electricity. All they want are chairs! I mean can you imagine sitting on a dirt floor or concrete floor for seven hours-five days a week. Even after ten minutes your back would start getting sore and your bum bum would just start hurting. Not only that but remember what's in dirt. There's bugs and insects such as worms and mosquitos. These kids are asking for so little (just chairs), but to them they're asking for too much. You could just spend $16 for each kid which in some budget it can buy you a meal and maybe watch a movie. Don't you donate some money for these kids?

I couldn't imagine how stressful and irritating it may be! Even when i sit on the floor for more than 15 minutes, it hurts! Not only does it hurt but when bugs are surrounding you, they can bite! I believe that it is very unhealthy. I am glad that their are organizations trying to help bring chairs and desks to school! Such as the UNICEF USA, they are helping by making the KIND, Kids In Need of a Desks. They have started a donation website and are bringing desks and chairs to Malawi. I think the KIND organization is a brilliant organization, and will definitely benefit not only the children, but the school community.
ReplyDeleteYa, I agree, It's mean how people are whining about not having comfortable chairs, but if they think about it, so people don't have chairs like you said, and yes, I have been In that position where there was not enough chairs to sit on, but it's no everyday that it happens, but it does for them.
