US Banding Ivory Trade
The United States are against the elephant ivory trade in Africa. The White House Administration bans all imports and exports of elephant parts and antiques. In the Middle East and Asia they are demanding the trade to continue. Both wanting to use the elephant tusks and rhino horns for ornaments and traditional medicine. In my opinion I think the trade is helpful yet wrong! Helpful for the Middle East and Asia, only because they need it for medicine. Wrong because people are killing the elephants just for antiques, which is just cray-cray. How do you feel about this? Can you scoop up more information? Do you agree or not?

I think what Africa is doing to elephants is 100% wrong! I am a animal lover and seeing thousands and thousands of them killed makes me very sad. It has been reported that in 2014 22,000 elephants have already been slaughtered! If Africa keeps killing elephants soon they will be endangered! I think that this business with elephants that Africa has needs to end as soon as possible.
ReplyDeleteI don't like what's happening at all. As a human being with all of that human nature it makes you want to go over there and teach poachers a lesson. Unfortunately it's not that simple. In a market in a country in Africa there was a trader who was trying to sell ivory to a man who had a secret camera and worked for NBC. He wanted $2,400 for an elephant tusk right then and there before he was going to kill more animals and offered at no extra charge to get it smuggled back to America undetected. Which is an clear sign of organized crime. I got all of my information from this site right here http://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/eager-ivory-sellers-fueling-elephant-slaughter-n26701
