Where the Ancient Times Better Than Today?

There are two reasons for there to be a competition for which point in time was better. In ancient times there was very little crime because of how extreme the punishment was. Right now if you commit a crime today you will be judged on how bad the crime is. Both ways have an equally good outcome because with the olden days there wasn’t a lot of crime but right now there’s a lot of crime but people get a fair trial for people to decide if there guilty or innocent. Another example is a person’s safety, it was a lot safer back in ancient times then it is now. Now you need to always watch your back to make sure no one is coming after you.
