The incident that happened at the NBA
is unacceptable, soccer shouldn’t have any racism involved. Sterling is now
banned for life and fined 2.5 million dollars which isn’t considered much. In my opinion his punishment should be a lot
worse however, he is paying the maximum amount for a fine and all of the money
is going to help anti-discrimination. The New York clippers handled this
situation very well in that they did not cause a huge scene at the game and
kept playing. The best thing that has
come out of this was the clippers coming over the incident and winning the
game. If someone was being racist towards
you how would you handle that situation?

I agree with you Hallie, but what does the first sentence after the comma have to do with anything? Anyway I think you're right about the fine being perceptively small to Sterling. Sterling is about to be forced to sell the LA Clippers for 780million dollars if the transaction goes through! Sterling doesn’t want to make a profit he is being forced to make 780million. I mean come on people he is not being affected by selling it because he is already banned for life so he really is just getting free money. Whats the point of banning him if you are just going to give him money?
ReplyDeleteWhat does soccer have anything to do about the NBA, the NBA means National Basketball Association which has nothing to do with soccer. Your right 2.5 million dollars isn't a lot compared to what Sterling has earned working for the NBA, he should have been charged a lot more than that but with him being all over the news as being openly racist I think that partly makes up for what he said.
