My
book takes place in Southern Sudan during a war between the government and
rebels. Southern Sudan has had trouble with internal conflict since its
independence in 2011. There was lots of ethnic violence in Sudan. Cattle raids
were also very common. The Murle group is said to have attacked the Lou Nuer.
They stole almost 40,000 cattle. During this, they killed up to 600 people and
injured about 985. There have been many deaths between the Murtle and Lou Nuer.
Today, there are rarely any more cattle raids and deaths. What do you think
about Southern Sudan and its conflicts?
