*"Long Walk to Water" and "South Sudan" seem too generic.
If you have not figured out via my header note, I am reading the book "Long Walk to Water". Basics of the book- Boy runs away from home during Sudan's civil war, story later intertwines with a young girl 30ish years later. Also noted in the title is the first major change since Salva's time. South Sudan has become independent nation, free from Sudan. To be specific on July 9, 2011. Salva, the main character in the book has since founded the charity Water For South Sudan. WFSS has since drilled 217 wells, 40 of them coming in the 13-14 drilling season. These wells deliver clean water as opposed to the dirty water often used by people. The safer water helps prevent diseases. South Sudan recently had an incident of President vs. Vice President that almost erupted into a civil war. check it out. what's your opinion?
