Excuse Me Hollywood, Bollywood Is In.

"Bollywood International Film Festival (BIFF) is dedicated to presenting the best of Bollywood" said Bollywood Film Festival themselves. BIFF is a festival in which Indian film makers present their indie films. BIFF currently screens one film every week and has an award competition in different categories such as best films, directors, actors and producers. BIFF is basically the Oscars of India. BIFF accepts sponsors and you can buy a ticket year round. Biff also lets anyone who wants to; submit a film of their own. So, what do you think about BIFF, would you ever go to India and watch some films?

  1. I think I would because it seems very interesting. Since I really didn't know that much about Bollywood I went on the internet to see what it really was. Bollywood is basically the capitol in movies in India. Indian movies are a lot different than American movies. For one thing they are three to four hours and have intermissions. The main place where Bollywood is Mumbai which is called the "film city". Stars are in such high demand they could be working up to ten movies at ounce! That seems like a lot of lines to memorize! There are up to 250 theaters in Mumbai alone. Bollywood is quickly becoming very popular in India and around the world.

  2. Bollywood is very similar to Hollywood in many different ways. Not onLy does it have popular stars but also great movies! Have you ever been to the drive in movies? It reminds me of Bollywood because they have weekly screenings, as you said, I really like how people come together to watch movies and have a great festival! The movie is as long as a opera! I also learned that Bollywood is formally known as a Hindu cinema! Where would you go if you went to India?
