Pakistan is
a sovereign country in South Asia with a population of 180 million people and
still growing. Pakistan is surrounded by Afghanistan, Iran, India, and China which make them look like a small
country but from what I read they know how to make
their country look big when they throw a party. One of their
festivals they celebrate is Shab-E-Barat. Shab-E-Barat is a religious festival featuring
firework and light displays. Shab-E-Barat is celebrated throughout Pakistan whether
you’re a kid or adult you participate in firing fire crackers and fire work. Another
one of their largest festivals in Pakistan is
Independence Day and Pakistanis commemorate this day because it celebrates the
founding of Pakistan in 1947.
The celebration involves fireworks, lighting, the processions and public
meetings all businesses and school are closed for this big celebration. Although both America and Pakistan celebrated Independence Day; Pakistan celebrates on August 14 and Americans celebrate on July 4. This is only
because America was
founded at a different time then Pakistan. Finally if you could join one
celebration held in Pakistan out
of Shab-E-Barat and Pakistan Independence Day which one would you choose?

Gelani, this is an interesting topic, and I think that I would probably want to watch the fireworks because I think that fireworks are pretty cool, at least I like them on the 4th of July. I decided to look at some other things they do during this festival. I figured out that another thing that they enjoy doing is riding decorated Camels and watching whats going on. I would want to see one of these festival in action one day.
ReplyDeleteI still think we throw better parties but there parties sound awesome. I think it’s interesting that they have their religion connect to dancing to express our self's. I also like that they decorate camels and use henna. I found out that they have religious party's that support there god and make songs to connect with him and have their religious food. They have very interesting party and religions in South Asia. What do you think is the most interesting thing they do at parties?
