Indian Independence Day
Indian Independence Day is a very important day in India. It (as you can probably guess) commemorates India's separation from England. It happened on August 15, 1947 and is celebrated annually. Indian Independence Day is celebrated by the president, whoever it may be at the time, who raises the flag in their capital and many, many others follow. The flag is raised all over the country symbolizing unity. After the flag is raised, many parades and pageants take place. Even people in other countries celebrate Indian Independence Day! So, do you celebrate this day? And if so, how do you celebrate it this wonderful day?
