Do You Really Know About the Babylonian Empire??
The beautiful city of Babylonian was the center of the Babylonian Empire. Hammurabi created the Babylonian Empire in 1787 B.C. The Babylonians built roads throughout the empire. Trade made the Empire really rich. But all the wealth that the empire had gathered could not save it from conquest. The empire that Hammurabi had conquered shrank and was finally destroyed by invaders in the early 1500s B.C. King Nebuchadnezzar the second rebuilt the city of Babylonian and the Empire, which the Assyrians had destroyed. He put up massive walls around the city for protection. So now that you know a little bit about the Babylonian Empire, do you really know so much about it?

I did not know all that about the babylon empire! I had know idea that it was that old...its fascinating to think what our ancestors could do with so little knowledge of the world and everything that is in it! I have heard of king nebuchadnezzar and I have heard that he wasn't the nicest king ever to rule but I had no idea that he built walls around the whole city! Do you know exaclty how many years ago this took place?
