Barcelona Madness
As you know if you read Mr. Hoppers post, a fan threw a banana at Dani Alves. The fan's action was intentionally racist because he was trying to say that Dani (who is part African) is a monkey. Calling someone a monkey is a common racist remark in Europe. In reaction to this, many players posted pictures of them eating bananas. This fan was arrested for what he did. The players also decided to wear their jerseys inside out. I think that this man should be severely fined for what he did. What do you think should be done about this terrible incident?

I think this man should have other punishment than a fine. I say that because unlike some soccer players, or Donald Sterling, the fan might not have as much money to spend on a fine. I do think, though, he should have some ban to come to not be able to go to some Barcelona games for a while, maybe any professional soccer games. I looked up the situation and I found out that the fan apologized for what he did and that the fans of Barcelona were also apologizing for the other fans reaction! So, I think that a minor punishment should be put on that one fan, but nothing too major. This was a nice topic to talk about Chris! :)
